A fresh crisis has engulfed the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) as a group of members accused the association’s President, Usman Umar Barambu, of working for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar during last Saturday’s presidential election.  The members led by Ibrahim Suleiman Mubarak, Chairman, NANS Unity Forum accused the president of getting involved in politics. Barambu had two days to the election claimed the association would not endorse any of a presidential candidate for the 2023 election.

  The National Association of Nigerian Students in Diaspora (NANS-D) has released the full list of the winners of the elections of the student body held over the weekend. The list was released by the Interim General Secretary of NANS-D and Public Relations Officer; Comrade Muhammad Abubakar and Comrade Elizabeth Oluwafunmilayo Adebitan respectively. The election was held from Saturday, December 31, 2022, to January 1, 2023, and was monitored by the Vice President, External Affairs of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Comrade Akinteye Babatunde.
