At least 12 people were killed and several others injured or kidnapped in a spate of attacks in northeast and central Nigeria, police and officials said.
Africa's most populous country is in a state of turmoil as a new president is due to be sworn in next month following an election disputed by the opposition. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
According to the Chairman of the LGA, Umar Jibrin Igede, who confirmed the attacks by bandits on the seven communities in Minna on Sunday, the attacks have sacked residents in their hundreds from their homes.
