8 Insurer UnderwriteMe has appointed Simon Jacobs to the newly created role of business development director. Jacobs will lead UnderwriteMe Insurer relationships and build commercial partnerships with aggregator distribution firms. He will report to head of sales and marketing Nilesh Patel. Jacobs joins from Aegon where he was underwriting and claims director. He has worked in the life and health industry for over 25 years and has held several senior roles at Axa and Munich Re.
