On Wednesday evening, traders along M G Road were both amazed and happy to find no hawkers blocking the entrance to their shops, especially outside Kumar Plaza.
For starters, on both sides of the stretch from Nigdi to Dapodi, the footpath is visible only in parts. In Kasarwadi, it's completely missing. And in other parts, like the Chinchwad area, encroachments leave no room for people.
