Oriana Power has seen huge buying interest on its debut, rising 169 percent to Rs 317.
Markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has decided to keep in abeyance National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) proposed Rs3,600 crore initial public offering (IPO).
The capital markets regulator said in a notification that the "issuance of observations (has been) kept in abeyance." It did not provide further details. NSDL last month filed its draft red herring prospectus with the Sebi for an IPO which is entirely an offer for sale (OFS) of 57,260,001 shares by existing investors such as IDBI Bank, NSE, SBI, HDFC Bank and Union Bank of India
The IPO has been put under abeyance due to a pending investigation against the NSE, sources told CNBC TV-18.
