Washington, D.C. - May 31, 2023 - The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) civil rights organization, is proud to announce the expansion of its work -- supported by a three-year, $5 million grant from Gilead Sciences, Inc. -- to eradicate the stigma surrounding HIV in Black and Latin communities and end the HIV epidemic by 2030.

The Human Rights Campaign received a $5 million grant from Gilead Sciences to expand the organization's HIV and health equity programs.

Kiaʻi Loko Centre for Limu Research has received a $3.5 million grant to provide limu – a native Hawaiian macroalgae – education and research opportunities for the long-term benefits of the community.

A $3.5 million grant is on its way to Windward Community College from the National Science Foundation's Tribal Colleges and Universities Program. The money is earmarked for the Kiaʻi Loko
