Mumbai: The automotive industry in India is currently witnessing a paradigm shift, which has changed how consumers purchase automotive components. The boom in digital marketplaces especially, has given rise to direct selling in the aftermarket industry, thereby creating a customer-brand relationship based on trust. This has also encouraged the industry players to develop and roll out their platforms, providing consumers greater convenience and accessibility.

Electrification is the most visible megatrend on the roads now; but what is not that visible is the growing trend of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a set of driver assistance/autonomous technology features that can also pave the way for autonomous driving, and possibly help the domestic ADAS market to reach the billion-dollar mark by FY28. It is to be noted, according to an industry expert,that some of the India-specific accident scenarios are yet to be covered by ADAS features.

Sunil Bohra says: “The PV seating business has overall a potential between Rs 8,000-10,000 crore in the country. As of now, what we are doing, this small mechanism has Rs 30-40 crore of revenue potential in next two years. But it puts us into that platform where we can make a big entry into the large segment. This definitely can become a huge revenue growth forward.”

In the case of Wipro, Axis Securities said the IT stock has recently demonstrated a robust breakout above the neckline of the 'Inverted Head & Shoulders' pattern at Rs 444, accompanied by a strong bullish candle. This it said, indicates a positive bias.
