Richmondshire District Council’s five Area Partnerships will each receive £10,000 to award to local projects. The authority this week agreed to continue to support the partnership grants – which have helped secure around £1.89m in funding since it was launched. The grants have been awarded to parish councils, community and sports groups for everything from large equipment purchases to smaller community noticeboards. A DALES bridge washed away in the flash flooding of summer 2019 has now been fully repaired. Cogden South bridge, on the C106 near Grinton Moor, was one of two bridges destroyed by the catastrophic flooding across parts of the Yorkshire Dales in July 2019. Cogden North bridge, on the B6270 Richmond to Grinton road, reopened in November last year and now works to the south bridge are complete.
