HOULKA – The Chickasaw School District will be adding a new handicap bus to their fleet after the decision was made to purchase one at last week's school board meeting.

School bonds for Collinsville and Inola public school districts passed Tuesday, according to the Oklahoma State Election Board Unofficial results.

Alaina Carlton, mother of a student in Gravette schools, spoke to the School Board at its July 19 meeting expressing her concerns about discussions relating to vaccinations in the schools. She told board members she felt there should be no discussions about the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of vaccines, covid-19 or otherwise, in the classroom.
