The run up to Christmas is seemingly set to be a wet and windy one as Brits face a yellow weather warning on Thursday, and unsettled showers right through to the weekend
Nearly 40 flood alerts have been put in place across England as the UK braces for another deluge of heavy rain.
Ten warnings are in place in North Yorkshire, with five in Lincolnshire and two in East Yorkshire.
The Saharan dust warning comes after a spell of warmer weather across the UK this weekend, with temperatures lifting away from the Baltic winter lows of the past few weeks.
