Crow Wing County has been allocated $472,580 by the State Legislature to assist in the prevention of the spread of AIS within County lakes and rivers in 2024.
17 area lakes remain free from zebra mussels and 20 lakes free of spiny water flea
Draining all water, cleaning all visible weeds, and removing zebra mussels from watercraft before leaving a lake are the most important steps boaters can take to prevent the spread of AIS.
