Norway has technology and expertise that is vital for Europe’s green transition. In a meeting between Norwegian ministers and EU commissioners today, Norway and the EU agreed to strengthen cooperation on how to promote the transition to a modern and competitive low-carbon economy.
The
European Green Deal was launched by the European Commission in 2019. This is both a growth strategy and a cross-sectoral plan to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent in the world by 2050. 
During today s meeting, members of the European Commission and Norwegian government ministers discussed how to translate ambitious climate targets into concrete action. Meeting the goals set out in the Paris Agreement will require a transformation process that extends across all areas of society and stakeholders. ....

Qatargas has delivered a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo aboard a Q-Flex vessel to
India s Ennore LNG receiving terminal, the first ever call by a Qatargas-chartered vessel at this terminal.
The Q-Flex vessel,
Al Nuaman, was loaded with 147,000 cubic metres of LNG on 11th February at Ras Laffan Port, and called at Ennore terminal, near the southern Indian city of Chennai, on 20th February and becomes the largest LNG carrier to call Ennore LNG terminal. Providence Resources, the Irish based resource development company, has announced an extension to the farm-out agreement for the
Barryroe licence. 
Additional time required to finalise agreement with participants in financing structure
No change to overall development proposal
Providence announces that it has agreed to extend the current farm-out agreement with
SpotOn Energy by an additional two months, until April 30th, 2021. The overall structure of the farm-out as set out below remains and SpotOn’s funding obligations remain unchanged. However, the conditions to be fulfilled to attract investment from the Norwegian Export Credit Agency (GIEK), have altered from those originally proposed. SpotOn are negotiating a restructuring of the funding components and the extension is designed to provide time to complete the funding. ....

Crude production has started to creep up in recent months, but much still hinges on the relaxation of US sanctions
The smoke signals of diplomacy over the Mid-East Gulf may be ambiguous, but Iran’s oil ambitions are not. Veteran oil minister Bijan Zanganeh intends 4.5mn bl/d in crude and condensate production and 2.3mn bl/d in exports by the next Iranian year, beginning on 21 March. This depends critically on the relaxation of sanctions but is the country’s oil industry ready to meet the challenge?
The previous period of sanctions, which ended with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saw production recover from January 2016 much more sharply than many analysts had expected.
