Adopt Europe's new eco plastic poly bag standards for packaging: EOG

The European Outdoor Group (EOG), an industry association representing the outdoor sector across Europe, has urged businesses to adopt uniform standards launched recently for the use of plastic polybags in product packaging. EOG’s Single Use Plastic Project (SUPP) has published ‘PolyBag Standards’ to reduce the impact of single use plastics throughout the value chain.
The document is available free and includes advice on material considerations, which attributes to prioritise, and a suggested bag design that encapsulates the best current application of the standards.
The document has been developed with inputs from the entire value chain producers, manufacturers, brands, retailers, waste intermediaries, recyclers and sustainable packaging specialists, a press release from EOG said. ....
