Houthi attack: Houthi attack: Navy denies US claim, says MV SAIBABA tank not Indian-flagged; adds all 25 Indian crew members safe
In the Red Sea, Houthi militants launched a drone attack on two vessels, including the crude oil tanker MV SAIBABA, clarifying it was not India-flagged but carried a Gabones flag. The US Central Command initially stated one ship was India-flagged. This marks the 14th and 15th Houthi attacks on commercial ships since October 17. The US Navy intercepted drones targeting the USS LABOON, responding to distress calls from attacked vessels. India monitors these incidents, emphasizing support for free shipping and participating in international efforts for safe transit.
