Tucker, to try to establish a hate crime for race because you have to corroborate that i m not sure if the police will be be able to do that. it s not even clear they will be able to find these guys, the detroit police department has a pretty low clearance rate for violent crimes as you know. i seem i used to cover crime. i feel like i have read this story many times. guy guess into some kind of auto accident or hits a pedestrian, and then is beaten is this a common kind of crime you have seen it before. i have seen it before but not to this extent. i think the accident probably precipitated the beating. i m not so sure if mr. utash was only beaten because ever the accident. i submit to you and the viewers he was beaten because he happened to be a white guy in the wrong area of the detroit at the time and you got these thugs, what they were, standing on the street with nothing better to do but attack this guy because he is not from their community if it was in ....
Thugs would have attacked them, beat them and robbed them as they did with mr. utash. what was the point? they didn t steal his truck so far as i know. this doesn t seem like a crime committed for financial gain. is this a bias crime? why would you do this? speculate if you would. two things to look at here. number one, some of the family members of mr. utash said there was property stolen out of his truck. two individuals got into the truck and i think they saw money in there. now the other thing we have to look at, tucker, is whether or not this was actually a hate crime. and it is possible. i mean, let s face it, it is what it is, mr. utash was a white gentleman driving through this community. he stops and gets out of his car and you have six african-american males who identifies him obviously just from looking at him and they decide to attack him. the underlying question here is whether or not they attack this man because of his race. and i don t know, but i can tell you that t ....
