The Lagos State government has announced operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) in its enforcement operations which started on Wednesday impounded over 100 private and commercial vehicles for alleged illegal parking. This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the LASTMA’s Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, Adebayo Taofiq.

The Lagos State Government on Monday issued a 7-day 'Vacation Order' to motorists and commercial bus drivers operating on Apongbon and Idumota (Cater) bridges; Elegbata, Ebute-Ero bridges, Ejalonibu Bridge and other bridges across the state. The Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Transportation, Sola Giwa, who issued the 'Vacation Order' said the ultimatum was based on the need to remove every infraction impeding the free flow of traffic on bridges across the state.
