The project includes a state-of-the-art command centre featuring nine 55-inch LED wall projections, creating a centralised hub for monitoring and managing the extensive camera network. VK Srivatsa, Secretary of CMKRA, highlighted the project’s primary objective, stating, “The primary objective of this project is to enhance the security and safety of the area.”
The delayed roadwork has not only disrupted daily commutes but has also become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, posing an additional health hazard to the community. Despite repeated complaints, the authorities have failed to expedite the project, leaving residents in a state of limbo, Kiran added.
The project has now reached a stage where it can send feed of violations real time to the police control room both at Thalghatpura station & shortly to a centralised command centre. The circle inspector of Thalaghattapura police limits Jagadish N collaborated with the residents to have the CCTV installed. He revealed to the residents that this initiative had helped in Hebbagodi and Ashok Nagar to reduce the traffic violation cases or even law and order cases.
