Friends and media colleagues looking to share in the funeral and life celebration of former Pretoria News editor Val Boje will still be able to bid farewell to the veteran journalist through Independent Media's online streaming platforms.
Val Boje was a journalist who spent her entire working life at a single newspaper; from cub reporter to editor.
The event will be shown on the Pretoria News Facebook page and also on, The Star, IOL, Saturday Star and Sunday Independent.
The service and celebration of life will be held at a chapel in Pretoria, where Val and husband Roy were married 38 years ago.
Editor Piet Rampedi said the veteran journalist literally took him by the hand and helped guide him to lead the Capital City's paper.
