RESTRICTIONS ON FISHING FOR SUBSISTENCE PURPOSES ONLY 29/04/2021 The Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport (Ministry), in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and the Ministry of Fisheries wishes to clarify the restrictions on fishing as stated in Marine. 1. Subsistence fishing is permitted, which limits fishing for the purposes of securing food only. This guideline is specifically for small crafts and fibre boats. 2. All subsistence fishers must provide the following details to the Maritime Surveillance Centre on the toll free number 1539;
