MFs cut expense ratio, share of equity to woo conservative investors

"Post fixed income taxation change, we have positioned equity savings funds as an alternate fixed income product to meet conservative investors' demand," said A Balasubramanian, MD of Aditya Birla Sunlife MF. "Given the fact it will have 10% exposure to equity and the rest will be spread between equity arbitrage and fixed income instruments, we also wanted to keep the expenses at a level which will be fair to investors," he said.
