Vanchip reportedly to pay US$4 million to end contract with UMC
Vanchip Technology, a fabless chipmaker with target markets including smartphones, tablets, and wearables, is allegedly paying US$4 million for a contract violation involving the termination of its production capacity guarantee agreement with pure-play foundry United Microelectronics (UMC).
