Water Resource Recovery Facility adds contractors, will be done in 2022
Indianola's new wastewater treatment facility is moving forward as the city adds new contractor's for the site's construction. The Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) project was originally budgeted for $45.6 million dollars. The project is currently about $44,000 under the expected cost, according to Rick Graves, the Indianola Water Pollution Control superintendent. The new facility will be one of the first wastewater treatment plants in the state to implement the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy aimed at reducing the discharge of nitrogen and phosphorus into receiving streams, city...

Warren County Supervisors Discuss Storm Sewer Repair
The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in special session Tuesday. The board set a public hearing date on Maximum Property Tax Dollars for March 2nd, approved a proposal from Vanderpool Construction on temporary storm sewer repair, and discussed holding a future budget work session reviewing information from all county departments.
