Aldermen in Monmouth on Monday approved the purchase of four Variable Frequency Drives for the city's water plants to, hopefully, reduce the amount of water main breaks in the city. City officials learned excessive water pressure is hammering on the infrastructure causing fracturing of mains, leading to failures. These drives would prevent water from hammering the infrastructure.
