KZN man in court after paying for fuel with counterfeit money

A driver who paid for fuel with fake money at a Verulam petrol station is due in court on Monday.

The 55-year-old man was arrested on Saturday. 
He d apparently filled up his bakkie as well as several plastic drums with fuel that amounted to R4 800. 
Reaction Unit SA s Prem Balram says he claimed to have not known the R100 notes were counterfeit. 
During an interview with reaction officers, the suspect informed us that he sold a cow for the R10 100 and he used the same money to pay for the fuel. According to him, he was unaware that the money was counterfeit.   ....
