Airplane. i would have put in that diversion airport which is what apparently occurred. i would have started the airplane down once i realized that we've got to get to that airport and get down to get to that airport. whether it is a result of a checklist and the smoke, it's anybody's guess on that. if that, indeed, is the scenario. co-pilot would be working with a checklist. maybe the smoke removal checklist. very confusing in that cockpit. as far as communication, which seems to be the point of contention, the communication part of it would be tough to get out. maybe the radios were no longe...
