Pope Francis appoints Labajo as auxiliary bishop of Cebu

The Vatican announced the appointment at 6 p.m. (local time) on Thursday in Rome. Labojo, 55, was vicar general of the Archdiocese of Cebu prior to his appointment as bishop. A native of Cebu, Labojo was born on Sept. 24, 1966 in Poblacion, Talisay City. The new bishop completed his Philosophy and Theology studies at the San Carlos Seminary College in Cebu City.
