Visitor center, viewing tower planned to better see WV elk | Outdoor Pursuits

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources is reviewing bids for construction of a viewing tower and a 2,000 square feet visitor center with displays dedicated to the history of the state's elk program and the reclaimed surface mine areas in which the elk have been introduced. By the end of February 2024, 150 elk are expected to reside at the Tomblin Wildlife Management Area.
