Vijayvargiya, who is also the BJP's Bengal minder, also said that he has received a call from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who enquired about the party's poor show
BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Sunday credited Mamata Banerjee for the TMC's astounding performance in Bengal elections, and said his party would introspect the poll results.
Earlier in the day, he had claimed that initial trends were not the real indicators of the final outcome, and exuded confidence that his party will win the elections.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Thursday courted controversy after he tweeted that former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has passed away at 78. He was soon corrected by BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, who informed via Twitter that Mahajan is "hale and hearty." Tharoor then deleted his tweet and posted a new one saying, “I wonder what motivates people to invent and spread such evil news that takes in people.”

KHANDWA: BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya on Thursday claimed that West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee will be defeated from Nandigram in the coming assembly polls. She would have lost from Bhabanipur, her current constituency, and therefore decided to contest from Nandigram this time, he said.
"But she would lose from there too by a margin of 50,000 votes," Vijayvargiya, the BJP general secretary in- charge for the poll-bound state, told reporters at Shahpur in Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
