The multi-stage launch vehicle has been built by Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace, a space startup.
Indian space start-up, Skyroot Aerospace, has unveiled its Vikram-1 rocket, which is expected to launch satellites into low earth orbit in early 2024. The rocket is capable of carrying around 300 kg payloads and features 3D-printed liquid engines. The company's new headquarters, named 'The MAX-Q Campus', was also inaugurated by the Science and Technology Minister.
Vikram-1 is a multi-stage launch vehicle with a capacity to place around 300 kg payloads in Low Earth Orbit. It is an all-carbon-fibre-bodied rocket that can place multiple satellites into orbit and features 3D-printed liquid engines.
