The Haryana government has officially withdrawn its ‘no work, no pay’ directive issued against the agitating clerks who remained on strike for 42 days and decided to release the salary of the strike period of the employees.
The clerks were adamant with their sole demand to revise their pay scale to ₹35,400 from the current ₹19,900; around 15,000 clerks associated with various government departments in Haryana had started an indefinite strike on July 5 at the district headquarters
This comes at a time when nearly 15,000 clerks of government offices in Haryana are on strike for the past three weeks seeking a monthly basic pay of Rs 35,400.
