The town of Pomfret and village of Fredonia are seeking volunteers to serve on a steering committee to assist the Town and Village Planning Boards with the updating of their Comprehensive Plans.
The Comprehensive Plan is a document that is developed to set a long-range vision for a community by planning for important items like community and business development and land use. It can be used to confirm or adjust zoning for areas within the town and village.
Community input is crucial to the completion of the project, and the municipalities are seeking a dedicated group of residents with varied life experiences to provide the Planning Boards with as much input as possible.
