Hundreds of police officers lined Kingston Avenue outside the Historic First Church of God in Christ in Crown Heights, where Detective Troy Patterson who was ambushed during a botched robbery attempt in 1990 was tearfully laid to rest.
Hundreds of police officers snapped to attention Monday and saluted Det. Troy Patterson's casket, draped with the NYPD flag, as it was wheeled into the Erskine Funeral Home in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
