BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) Boston basketball star and NBA prospect Terrence Clarke died Thursday night following a car crash in Los Angeles.
Clarke played for the University of Kentucky for the 2020-2021 season, and declared for the 2021 NBA draft last month.
Celtics star Jaylen Brown reacted to his death on Instagram, writing “Words can’t even explain fr what I hate the most the world didn’t even get to see how much potential you really had I hate you left with that on you NBA let my lil bro name get called this year we need that.”
Clarke was born in Dorchester in 2001, and grew up in Roxbury. He played high school basketball at The Rivers School in Weston and then went on to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire.
