CUSD appoints District Safety Coordinator The Carlsbad Unified School District has appointed Malcolm Warfield as the District Safety Coordinator, a new part-time position. Warfield has more than 17 years of law enforcement experience, previously working as a deputy sheriff with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, and as a law officer with the Lakewood (Colo.) Police Department and a police officer with the Carlsbad Police Department.
