Dimapur, Sep. 6 (EMN): The oldest school in Zhavame village under Phek district – Government Primary School, Zhavame, which was established on April 1, 1947, commemorated 75 years of its existence on September 5 coinciding with Teachers’ Day celebration at Pame Tsüdu in Zhavame village on the theme “Reflecting forward.” In his message, former minister, Deo Nukhu, who graced the occasion as the special guest, extended his gratitude to all the past pioneers and congratulated all the present teachers in the village. “It is quite befitting that the auspicious occasion is being observed on ‘Teachers’ Day,’ which falls on the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – a philosopher, scholar and great teacher,” Nukhu said.
