TPG Telecom has never been scared of a deal. However, this time it is about selling, not buying, and mastermind founder David Teoh is not steering the ship.
The talks, revealed by Street Talk and confirmed by TPG on Tuesday, are an exciting development for telco bosses.
TPG Telecom said that Vocus made a non-binding offer to acquire certain Enterprise, Government and Wholesale (EGW) assets and associated fixed infrastructure assets, including wholesale broadband business Vision Network.
TPG Telecom granted Vocus an exclusive period of due diligence after the latter made a non-binding AUD6.3 billion offer for fixed assets.
