Lukashenko visits Mogilev Oblast Hospital
MOGILEV, 15 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko paid a visit to Mogilev Oblast Hospital during his trip to Mogilev on 15 December, BelTA has learned.
The head of state got familiar with the operation of the medical institution, including medical assistance to coronavirus patients. Chief doctor of the hospital Anatoly Kulik told Aleksandr Lukashenko that a cardiac surgery unit is being built on the territory of the hospital. It is planned that the new unit will be commissioned in November 2021.
According to the chief doctor, the medical institution employs some 1,500 specialists. Some 350 out of 853 beds have been allocated for coronavirus patients. At present 108 of them are vacant. “A decline in COVID-19 cases has been registered over the past week,” the chief doctor said.
Lukashenko visits Minsk City Clinical Hospital No.4
MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko is paying a visit to Minsk City Clinical Hospital No.4 named after N.Ye.Savchenko on 14 December, BelTA informs.
The head of state will inspect the coronavirus treatment process at the hospital.
Chief physician of the hospital Vatslav Yanushko told the president that the hospital has 888 beds, and that 70% of them are used for the treatment of Covid-19 patients. The hospital continues to provide services in the field of expertise, although to a lesser extent.
“We must understand that there are many other patients apart from those with coronavirus. People are still suffering from cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer. Therefore, you are doing the right thing helping people with other diseases,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “The main thing is to make sure that this number of beds is enough.”
