Volume Eight, the 2022 Dan Patch Award Winner as two-year-old trotting colt of the year, has added a familiar face to his ownership group in advance of his three-year-old season.

Bella Bellini became the fourth female trotter this century to receive a Dan Patch Award at ages three and four when the six 2022 divisional trotting champions were announced on Tuesday, Dec. 27 by the United States Harness Writers Association.

Freshmen Standardbreds of each gait and sex competed in their final Grand Circuit contest of the season with the Fall Final Four — composed of the Goldsmith Maid, Valley Victory, Three Diamonds and Governor's Cup — on Saturday night (Nov. 26) at The Meadowlands.

As if that weren’t enough, Saturday’s (Nov. 26) extraordinary racing program will showcase many of the sport’s biggest stars on “Fall Final Four/TVG Championships Night.”

After watching Volume Eight win the Kindergarten Classic Series championship by 8-1/4 lengths in 1:52 in his most recent race on Nov. 12, trainer Noel Daley is hoping to see a similar performance in Saturday’s $416,200 Valley Victory Stakes for two-year-old male trotters at The Meadowlands.
