Petitioner Virgilio S. Suelo, Jr. filed a complaint for permanent and total disability benefits, damages and attorney fees before the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB). In a decision dated February 18, 2019, the Panel of Voluntary Arbitrators (VA) denied petitioner’s claim. Aggrieved, petitioner filed a motion for reconsideration which was denied in a resolution dated June 28, 2019. Petitioner, through counsel received a copy of the order of the denial of the motion on July 12, 2019. On July 22, 2019, petitioner moved for a 20-day extension within which to file a petition for review before the Court of Appeals (CA) or until August 11, 2019. On August 9, 2019, petitioner filed a petition for review under Rule 43 of the Rules before the CA. ....

New Delhi, May 13 (IANS) Eli Lilly and Company on Thursday announced that it has issued additional royalty-free, non-exclusive voluntary licenses to the Indian pharmaceutical manufacturers of generic medicines, Dr. Reddy s Ltd, MSN Laboratories and Torrent Pharmaceuticals, who will be collaborating to accelerate and expand the availability of baricitinib for Covid treatment in India.

Govt to expand AstraZeneca voluntary opt-in programme

PUTRAJAYA: The government will be looking to reach out to those who lack access to the Internet as it moves forward with expanding the AstraZeneca (AZ) voluntary opt-in programme to beyond Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, says Khairy Jamaluddin.
The coordinating minister of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme said the programme would be expanded to more people in Malaysia as the government expects at least 1.1 million more doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to arrive this month.
“We are looking to expand the AZ programme, as we have more vaccines coming from the Covax facility and AZ itself. We will continue to maintain it as an opt-in voluntary programme under the national immunisation programme. ....
