Horry County police pursuit ends in fatal crash | Myrtle Beach News
A driver who was trying to get away from Horry County police in a stolen Mercedes died when he wrecked the car early Nov. 11, authorities said. Tyrek Chestnut, 25, died at a local hospital from injuries he sustained in the crash, according to the Horry County Coroner's Office. He was from Conway. The crash happened just after 1:20 a.m. on Old Reaves Ferry Road near Voneer Road, which is about 4.5 miles east of Conway, said Master Trooper Gary Miller of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
