Parts of the UAE experienced heavy to light rains over the past two days, with Al Ain receiving heavy rains and moderate rains reported in Nazwa and Wadi Al Ejelli. It is unclear if these rains are related to the government s recent cloud-seeding initiatives. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has launched a research campaign in collaboration with Stratton Park Engineering Company (SPEC) to test the performance of different cloud seeding materials.
