SPRINGDALE -- Arkansas Children's Northwest will receive $25 million from the Willard & Pat Walker Charitable Foundation of Fayetteville, the largest single charitable donation in the hospital's history according to Arkansas Children's president.
The money will be used for facility renovations and upgrades to clinical buildings at Arisa corporate offices in Springdale.
The nonprofit also helps children who have disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or experiencing homelessness.
The Walker Foundation strives to bring "back the smile on many faces dealing with various issues of hair conditions," according to the organization's website.
Susan Neyman, chief development officer and foundation president, said the Walker Foundation's gift will "guarantee our continued focus on education."
