Niagara Falls residents oppose plans for open-pit quarry 280 metres from their homes
People in a Niagara Falls, Ont., subdivision are opposing a company's plans to build a gravel quarry close to their neighbourhood on what is now farmland, with one resident saying having their homes just blocks from an industrial site could "put a damper on our future."
