really? i want to know where andy mccabe s glasses were. he didn t have glasses anymore. is that a pr thing, smarter, different. smarter usually with the glasses, though. the pressing issues but there are other ones we must talk about. good morning to you. we are having a great saturday morning, national emergency declared by president trump, here is, let us start you off with a little bit of rose garden announcement yesterday. we are talking about an invasion of our country with drugs, with human traffickers, with all types of criminals and gang and when you listen to politicians, in particular certain democrats, they say it all comes through the port of entries, wrong, walls don t work, walls work 100%. nancy knows it. chuck knows it, they all know
they say walls don t work. walls work 100%. when you re talking drugs maybe not all of it, i think it s only 90%, but that s a lot. how do you respond to that, though? the overwhelming amount of drugs come to this country through legal ports of entry. if we re serious about doing something about that, we need to make investments so there are car go investments, additional personnel to prevent the drugs from coming in the country. that s where they come. the president keeps throwing out statements that are not supported by the evidence, not supported by his own department of homeland security or customs and border patrol. i ve been to the border twice and they said it used to be single men come, now it s families. we need to respond to that in a humanitarian way but that s the change of circumstance that s happened at the border. there s not an emergency there.
of it coming from the southern border. when you look and when you listen to politicians, in particular certain democrats, they say it all comes through the port of entry. it s wrong. it s just a lie. it s all a lie. they say walls don t work. walls work 100%. whether it is el paso i really was smiling because i was in el paso. we had a tremendous kracrowd. i asked the people many from el paso. i said let me ask you as a crowd, when the wall went up, was it better? you were there, some of you. it was not only better, it was like 100% better. you know what they did. that s only one example. there were so many examples. in el paso they have close to 2,000 murders right on the other
expressing concern at this precedence. the president was asked about this work around congress. he pointed to 31 other national emergencies. we re going to confront the national security crisis on our southern border, and we re going to do it one way or the other, we have to do it. not because it was a campaign promise, which it is. when you look, and you listen to politicians, in particular, certain democrats, they say it all comes through the port of entries. wrong. that s wrong, it s wrong, it s just a lie, it s all a lie. they say walls don t work. walls work 100%. i expect to be sued. i shouldn t be sued. very rarely do you get sued when you do national emergency. and then other people say, if you use it for this, what are we using it for? we have to get rid of drugs and gangs and people. it s an invasion. we have an invasion of drugs and criminals coming into our
declaration authority this way. in a move democrats say is a work around congress. the president was asked about that after today s announcement, and he pointed to 31 other current active national emergency emergencies. we re going to confront the national security crisis on our southern border. we re going to do it one way or the other, because we need to do it. not because it s a campaign promise, which it is. when you look and listen to pligss, particularly certain democrats, they say it all comes through the port of entry, it s wrong. it s wrong. it s just a lie, it s all a lie. they say walls don t work. walls work 100%. i expect to be sued. i shouldn t be sued. and then other people say, if you use it for this, then what are we using it for. we have to get rid of drugs and gangs and people. it s an invasion.
