Warrior Met Coal, Inc. announced today that it is relaunching the development of its Blue Creek reserves into a new, world-class longwall mine located in Alabama near its existing mines. Once completed, this transformational growth investment will reinforce Warrior's position as the premier U.S. pure-play producer of premium metallurgical ("met") coal products that are sought by customers throughout the global steel industry.

Braxton Wright, of United Mine Workers of America Local Union 2368, told Senator Bernie Sanders that Warrior Met Coal has refused to pay its employees.

As the strike against Warrior Met Coal approaches its ninth month, the union is questioning whether criminal laws are being fairly enforced.
