(WBRC) - The office coordinator at Hueytown High School has lost her battle with COVID-19. Wanda Hartley passed away Monday at the age of 74. Her obituary says she worked for the Jefferson County School System for more than 30 years. “This is extremely sad news for the Hueytown High School family and the Hueytown community. During her three decades with Jefferson County Schools, Mrs. Hartley touched so many lives. She treated all students and staff as if they were her own family. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband Jerry and the Hartley family during this difficult time. We love you Mrs. Hartley,” said Principal Ryan Howard. ....
