A DINER threw a pint glass at restaurant staff after he and his friends enjoyed a slap-up meal and ran off without paying, a court heard. Thomas O'Donnell (31) also fled without paying for petrol and stole thousands of euro worth of alcohol. Judge David McHugh jailed him for 22 months, saying his "extended thuggery" was the "worst I've ever seen in 14 years" as a judge. The defendant admitted numerous counts of theft when he appeared before Blanchardstown District Court.
