Washington Township hires Reichard to serve as assistant planner

Waynesboro Record Herald
The Washington Township Board of Supervisors made a few moves at their meeting on Dec. 7, 2020, shaping the layout for 2021.
According to township manager Jeff Geesaman, Chad Reichard was hired as the township's assistant planner/zoning officer.
"It was a little crazy," Reichard said. "I resigned at the beginning of the meeting from my position as a township supervisor and was hired to my current position about 45 minutes later."
Reichard shared part of his responsibilities that come with his new role in his hometown.
"I will be assisting the zoning officer, reviewing plans and working with the planning committee," he said. "It's sort of a catch-all, but it's all about working with the townships and making sure that everything is in order. Washington township is where I was born and raised. It's really great to be able to work and serve the community where you live. This is a great opportunity for advancement within the township to continue to make this a good place to live and do business."
