The deputy makes a new friend NEWPORT -- A Monroe County sheriff's deputy was on police duty when he unexpectedly made a new friend. Deputy Zachary Straub had responded to a call in the Marshall Fields subdivision near Newport when resident Wayne Braden spotted the patrol car Friday afternoon. Braden's 15-month-old grandson, Easton, happened to playing in his own police car at the time.
