WAYNE — Wayne Elementary School will welcome a furry, four-legged friend this school year after it was announced Thursday it will participate in a statewide school therapy dog program.
No new cases of COVID-19 reported Monday at the school, but seven staff members are still sick.
In Wayne County, 29 confirmed cases have been reported since the start of the school year, the majority of which are being found at the elementary level.
